US Vice-President Joe Biden congratulates Ireland on New Zealand win

The US vice-president has praised the Irish rugby team for their historic win over New Zealand in Chicago.

After 111 years of trying, Ireland beat the All Blacks by 40 to 29 on Saturday.

Joe Biden tweeted: Congrats to cousin @KearneyRob on behalf of the Bidens. @IrishRugby's 1st win over New Zealand in 111 years. History made again in Chicago."

The victory saw five tries for Ireland: three in the first half from Conor Murray, CJ Stander and Jordi Murphy.

While the second half saw two further scores from Simon Zebo and Robbie Henshaw.

The effort gave Ireland an 11 point win at Soldier Field.

Ireland's next fixture sees them take on Canada at Dublin's Aviva Stadium on November 12th.

While the following week, November 19th, they will come face-to-face with the All Blacks again.
