He left Manchester United in 2009 to join Real Madrid, but Cristiano Ronaldo is still in Alex Ferguson's good books.

Ferguson made sure he got the opportunity to congratulate the 31-year-old when Ronaldo was walking down the steps of the Stade de France after lifting the Henri Delaunay Trophy and embrace his former player.

While the hug is only for a couple of seconds, it's telling to see Ferguson leaning out into the pathway making sure he grabbed the Portuguese captain's attention. He also spoke with and congratulated former Manchester United winger Nani, who Ferguson also brought to the club.

The 74-year-old was working with UEFA at the tournament and clearly looks like a proud father seeing his son succeed. It's a softer side that was rarely seen of Ferguson, during his managerial days at Manchester United.
