Connacht Rugby have released a short video to mark the recent launch of their strategy for the next four years, aimed at getting young players and fans involved with the province.

As they prepare for their Pro 12 Final against Leinster, there is unlikely to  be a better time to encourage the fans and kids that have been watching the remarkable season unfold to turn to rugby.

The short film, 'Grassroots to Green Shirts', charts "a journey that starts with participation, is fuelled with perspiration and culminates in inspiration", and will certainly have anyone who wasn't already hyped up for Saturday's match in the mood for a momentous occasion.

Part of the Vision & Strategy 2016-2020 program, the film was written and directed by young Mayo-born director Lorcan Hynes, with a voice-over performed by New York-based, Galway-born actor Donall O'Healai.
