Alban Hoxha helped FK Partizani advance in the Champions League
It takes a certain kind of bravery for a goalkeeper to take a kick in a penalty shoot-out.
To take the opening kick and decide to Panenka it? Well that just takes nerves of steel.
Alban Hoxha found himself in that position on Wednesday night, when the Champions League tie between his side FK Partizani and Hungarian champions Ferencvaros in Bucharest.
The Albanian goalkeeper, who was an unused sub during Euro 2016, beat opposite number Denes Dibusz with the opening kick. He then saved Ferencvaros' opening penalty from former Fulham striker Zoltan Gera,
Hoxha went on to save two further penalties from Stanislav Sestak and Cristian Ramirez as Partizani won the shootout 3-1 on away soil.
They now go on to meet Red Bull Salzburg in the next round. Partizani's participation in the tournament was in doubt until last month. They finished second in the Albanian Super League last season but were promoted to the Champions League after champions Skenderbeu Korce were excluded, due to match-fixing.
