Manchester City have breezed through to the Capital One Cup semi-finals after thrashing Hull City 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

Wilfried Bony put City in front after 12 minutes but Manuel Pellegrini's side did not double that advantage until ten minutes from time when youngster Kelechi Iheanacho scored the second.

Kevin de Bruyne grabbed two goals in the final 10 minutes, before Andrew Roberston netted a consolation for Hull.

Everton defeated Middlesbrough 2-0 at the Riverside Stadium as the in-form Gerard Deulofeu and Romelu Lukaku scored the goals.

The duo have been combining brilliantly in the Premier League and both scored in the first half to put the Toffees in control and ultimately into the semis.

Stoke City are also through after beating Arsenal's conquerors Sheffield Wednesday with goals from Ibrahim Afellay and Phil Bardsley in each half.
