WATCH: Portugal's Euro 2016 champions have returned home to a heroes' welcome

The team are back in Lisbon after victory in Paris

The victorious Portugal team have returned to Lisbon to a heroes' welcome after securing Euro 2016 glory last night. 

They won Portugal's first ever major tournament trophy after defeating host nation France in the final in Paris last night.

The team have since made the journey home, landing back at Lisbon's Humberto Delgado Airport.

They have now got the open top bus treatment to better lap up the adulation from their fans.
