Every year there are memorable goals, some more so than others, and 2015 was no exception.

These goals come from all around the world in all levels of games from a pre-season friendly (Philippe Mexes) to the World Cup final (Carli Lloyd).

Some goals may come as a surprise and where there is space for the outstanding individual skill of Lionel Messi destroying the Bayern Munich and Athletic Bilbao defences, there is also a place for Galway United's Jake Keegan who finished off an outstanding team goal for the Westerners.

While some might not have been scored by the most well-known names in the game, but all ten are excellent for different reasons. They all count, as they say, but it never fails to amaze just how players come up with so many ways to find the back of the net!

Philippe Mexes (AC Milan v Inter Milan)

Lionel Messi (Barcelona v Bayern Munich)

Sebastian Giovinco (Toronto FC v New York Red Bulls)

Jake Keegan (Galway United v Longford Town)

Charlie Adam (Stoke City v Chelsea)

Lionel Messi (Barcelona v Athletic Bilbao)

Olmes Garcia (Real Salt Lake v Columbus Crew)

Ross Gaynor (Cork City v Derry City)

Carli Lloyd (USA v Japan)

Shane Long (Republic of Ireland v Germany)

Well we could hardly leave this one off the list now, could we?
