WATCH: The women's race at the Dublin City Marathon produced a tight finish to the line
There was just a marginal difference between first and second in the women's race12:04 Sunday 30 October 2016, 12:04 30 Oct 2016
Helalia Johannes of Namibia claimed first place in the women's race at today's Dublin's city marathon, but she had little to spare in those final strides.
Footage captured of the race to the line shows Johannes sprinting home in a time of 2:32:31 with second place Gebireyes of Ethiopia trailing just one second behind her.
Given the monstrous 42km already clocked up by both competitors, the idea of first and second being determined by a sprint to the line is a gruelling thought.
