Will Ferrell appeared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night and talked, amongst other things, about his new football franchise.

A part owner of Los Angeles FC, who will play in Major League Soccer in 2018, Ferrell is not the only celebrity name on the board, as former sports stars Magic Johnson and Mia Hamm are also part of the ownership team, while Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan is also involved.

Ferrell is a football fan, and while he was clearly excited about the opportunity to get involved with the team once the stadium is up and running, he also had a bit of fun with it.

He stated that his ownership style will be based on the famous Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, and he will be wearing a lot of polo necks.

There was also liberal mention of the teenager in Cleveland who was recently kicked off his football team for a number of misdemeanours, including wearing a cowboy hat on the field.
