Wales unchanged for Ireland clash

Wales have named an unchanged side for Friday night's Six Nations clash against Ireland in Cardiff.

Rob Howley's side currently lie in fourth place after the first three rounds of the tournament. They have lost at home to England, and in Murrayfield against Scotland.

Despite the Murrayfield defeat last month, Howley has stuck with the same starting 15 to play Ireland on Friday evening. Alun Wyn Jones will captain the side.

Flanker Justin Tipuric will earn his 50th cap for Wales. He starts in a back row alongside Sam Warburton and Ross Moriarty.

Ken Owens is joined in the front row, either side by props Rob Evans and Tom Francis. Jake Ball joins the Welsh captain Jones in the second row.

In the half-backs, Rhys Webb continues his partnership with Dan Biggar. Scott Williams and Jonathan Davies maintain their positions in the centre.

In the back-three, Leigh Halfpenny starts at full-back. George North and Liam Williams will play on the wings.

"We felt it was important the same group of players had the opportunity to go out and perform on Friday so we have named an unchanged match-day squad," Wales head coach Rob Howley revealed after the team was announced.

"We know we need to be more clinical and we need to execute better under pressure and we have been working hard on that during the last few weeks."
