There is no place for Andrea Pirlo in the Italy squad for Euro 2016.

The 37-year old has been omitted from Antonio Conte's 30-man training panel for the tournament - a squad that will be reduced down to 23 players by the squad announcement deadline of June 1st.

AC Milan's on loan Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli is also absent as expected.

Ireland play Italy in Lille in their final group game on June 22nd.

They have already suffered a couple of pre-tournament blows due to injuries sustained by key midfielders Claudio Marchisio and Marco Verratti, which rules the Juventus and PSG players out of contention for the tournament.
