West Bromwich Albion have agreed to sell Saido Berahino to Stoke.
In a short statement, Albion say the striker will now discuss personal terms after the Premier League clubs agreed a fee.
That transfer fee is reportedly an initial £10 million but it could eventually rise to £15 million.
West Brom said: "West Bromwich Albion can confirm the club has today agreed a deal with Stoke City for Saido Berahino.
"As a result, Albion have given Stoke permission to open talks with Berahino about a potential move to the Bet365 Stadium.
"There will be no further comment at this time."
Berahino's desire to leave the Hawthorns has been a subplot of recent transfer windows and in July 2016, West Brom rejected a bid from Stoke City.
The 23 year old was involved in a transfer saga after interest from Tottenham Hotspur bid for his services in the summer of 2015.
With West Brom resistant to the move, Berahino's relationship with his club deteriorated to the point that he tweeted that he would never play for the club again.

The Burundi born striker has made just four Premier League appearances this season, after four goals in 31 league appearances during the 2015-16 season.
Berahino had previously shone in 2014-15 season when he burst onto the scene with 20 goals in all competitions.
That form earned him a call up to the England squad in 2014 under then manager Roy Hodgson, although he has yet to be capped at international level.
