Aston Villa have been condemned to life in the Championship next season after their miserable season, but it appears Ciaran Clark may not suffer the same fate.
The Republic of Ireland defender had a mixed season for Villa, starting 16 games and was benched for 13 games in a season where the midlands club finished bottom of the pile.
Tony Pulis is said to be interested in the 26-year-old's signature, according to the Express and Star and have been linked with a summer move for the defender.
"That contract is thought to contain a £5million release clause however and with Villa having been relegated from the Premier League, Albion boss Tony Pulis may now rekindle his interest," the report reads.
Clark looks to be a certain addition for Martin O'Neill's Euro 2016 squad in June and may feature to in upcoming friendlies against the Netherlands and Belarus.
