West Ham have gone out of the Europa League before the group stages.

They lost their play-off with Astra Giurgiu 1-0 at the Olympic Stadium to exit the competition after a 2-1 aggregate defeat.

Filipe Teixeira netted on 45 minutes to stun the Hammers and West Ham missed a host of second half chances to miss out on a full campaign of European football at their new home ground.

That means Slaven Bilic's side are not involved in the Europa League group stage draw which takes place on Friday.

League of Ireland champions Dundalk will be in the draw as will the likes of Manchester United, Southampton, Inter Milan, Ajax, Villarreal, Zenit St Petersburg, Athletic Bilbao and AS Roma.
