What's it like to be European Champion? Arthur Lanigan O'Keeffe describes the moment in his latest video diary

It has been a whirlwind three months for Ireland Modern Pentathlon European Champion Arthur Lanigan O'Keeffe.

The 2012 Olympian blew the field away in Bath in August to be crowned the continental champion and in the process he booked his ticket to the Rio Olympics next summer.

"I had so many family and friends watching it and getting to share the experience with them was unbelievable and is an experience that I will never ever forget".

Lanigan O'Keefe's training has been based in Dublin for the past eight weeks where he has been joined by South African Calvin Bradley. The South African has joined Arthur in Ireland as he looks to qualify for next years Olympic Games.

Arthur's status as European Champion means he has been invited to the prestigious Champion of Champions event in Doha in two weeks time. Only 18 men and 18 women are invited to the event which shows Lanigan O'Keeffe's pedigree as one of the top athletes in his sport.

The Champion of Champions event will be seen as ideal preparation for the Rio Olympics and you can find out how Arthur did in his next video diary.
