"You don't have to win every fight by knockout" - Muay Thai world champion John Wayne Parr on Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor seeks redemption against Nate Diaz at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas next month and his preparation for the fight has been underway for months.

While many of those who watched the original bout in March at UFC 196, fewer have more credibility in their assessment of the fight than John Wayne Parr.

The 10 time world champion in Muay Thai spoke to London Real about the fight and explains what McGregor needs to change for the next fight.

"If McGregor fights the perfect fight he can [beat Diaz] for sure," he said. "But it's a big ask because Nate is so good and so aggressive. I think he fought the wrong fight trying to knock him out.

"You don't have to win every fight by knockout, just win. It's like Muhammad Ali, you tag him three or four times and you get out. Hitting people is the easy part, not getting hit is the hard part. After the bout Nate had blood all over his face but because he's so tough and has that desire to win, it's hard [to beat him]."
