Can Brian O'Driscoll see Leinster turning the form book upside down to win the Pro 12?

Brian O'Driscoll feels Leinster are missing a degree of "killer instinct" at present.

Off The Ball's premier rugby correspondent was speaking on the Pro 12 Finale preview at tonight's The Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Roadshow in Galway alongside former Ireland head coach Eddie O'Sullivan, Ulster legend Stephen Ferris and ex-Connacht full-back Gavin Duffy.

Brian says Leinster, who lost 30-6 to Ulster last weekend, have the quality in their ranks but feels Connacht and Glasgow Warriors remain the favourites to win the Pro 12.

"I just feel as though they're lacking, not the firepower, but they're lacking that killer instinct that has been synonymous with Leinster teams," he said, although he does think anyone can bet against Leinster if they can secure a home semi-final in the playoffs.

"You look at the strike rate of Glasgow in comparison, I think they've got time and a half the number of tries. I think Leinster have 45 and Glasgow have 67. I think that says a huge amount. Leinster of old used to get to into the 22 and used to come out with points - 3, 5, 7 every single time. I just don't think we're seeing that now and it's very hard to put your finger on it."

He added that there is "enough quality in the squad to go on and win this - and they can do it - but it's hard to see it right now looking at the quality of the other sides".

Eddie feels Connacht and Glasgow, who go head-to-head in the league this weekend, would be "the two favourite teams on form", while Duffy spoke about some of the weaknesses Connacht will hope to counteract including defence.
