When Cork set foot on the Croke Park turf on Sunday to face Dublin in the All-Ireland Ladies Football final, they will be going in search of a sixth title-in-a-row.
More remarkably, Cork have won all 10 of their All-Ireland titles from 2005 onwards.
But it hasn't always been this way as Relentless: The Inside Story of the Cork Ladies Footballers author Mary White discussed when she joined Off The Ball and ex-Cork star Valerie Mulcahy to look ahead to the 2016 final.
But firstly, they have an extraordinary ability to come out on top in close games.
"Probably what many people don't realise is that they haven't been hammering teams in All-Ireland finals. They've won four All-Ireland finals by a point and they've won two finals by two points. So it's not like they've been completely dominating teams. They've had to work very hard to get to where they are and I think the public are probably starting to appreciate that now as well," said White before looking further back in history regarding the more experienced players.
"I think what it goes back to is the fact that they were getting hammered for years by the likes of Waterford and Kerry and people probably forget that. But you speak to some of the players and they don't forget those days so there's this ingrained sense of wanting to win and that kind of rubbed off on the new players coming in. I think it really stemmed from that."
