Let's kick a few George Graham myths into touch

It's 20 years and six months since George Graham was sacked by Arsenal as the result of a bung scandal.

Aside from the league titles, an FA Cup and a European trophy, the former manager also left the legacy of the back four that formed the bedrock of Arsene Wenger's early successes.

But the stereotyped view of Graham is one of boring football, while the bung scandal (he had accepted an illegal payment of over£425K from a Norwegian agent) is also something he will be remembered for.

On this week's Team 33, we wanted to look at the Scot's true Arsenal legacy and also sweep away a few lazy stereotypes about his time in charge, as well as discussing how unlucky he was to have been the only manager to have been caught up in the bung issue.

Our guest was BBC 5 Live Film and TV reviewer and Footballistically Arsenal podcast host and one-time When Saturday Comes contributor Boyd Hilton, who feels that Graham deserves greater acclaim for his work at the club.

You can listen to the full interview via the podcast player or also download the episode on iTunes.

This week's Team 33 also features our new Fantasy Football segment presented by Eoin Sheahan and Tommy Rooney, which you will find in Part 2 of 3 of this week's podcast.
