Ireland drop two places in the latest FIFA rankings despite qualifying wins

Ireland have dropped two places in the latest FIFA World Rankings.

Martin O'Neill's side move back to 33rd place in the world despite 2018 World Cup qualifying wins over Georgia and Moldova earlier this month.

However they now find themselves above Northern Ireland who have dropped six places to 36th.

Further ahead, World Cup qualification group rivals Wales are down one place to 11th, one place above England who are unchanged in 12th.

Top of the standings are Argentina despite a poor recent run in the World Cup qualifiers in South America, ahead of Germany, Brazil and Belgium.

Colombia are fifth, just above Chile, France, Portugal and Uruguay. Spain round out the Top 10.

Italy are 13th in the world, while Netherlands are 20th, one place above Iceland.

Ireland are between Senegal (32) and Romania (34).

The Boys in Green currently have a total of 776 point, which is a rise of two points from the most recent rankings.
