John Giles feels the end of this Premier League season could be a good time for Arsene Wenger to call it a day with Arsenal.
The longest serving manager in the English top flight has been in charge of the Gunners since 1996 and his current contract runs out in June, with no indication whether the three time Premier League and six time FA Cup winner will sign another term.
The Frenchman has been in the headlines of late after being charged by the FA over an incident with the fourth official during Arsenal's 2-1 win over Burnley.
But on the wider point about Wenger's future, John feels the time has come for the manager and club to part ways.
"It might be time to go," said John of a figure he regards as one of the great managers of the Premier League era.

"I think there's talk of him possibly going to Paris Saint Germain. I think at the end of the season regardless of what happens - and I'm only looking from the outside - it would be time for him to go."
Earlier, Arsene Wenger had critiqued the tackling technique of his own midfield player Granit Xhaka after his recent red card challenge.
John shared his view on the Swiss international's shortcomings in that key department for a player in his position.
"I think this lad has no discipline," said John of the way Xhaka goes into tackles.
"If you're slow, you don't go into the tackles. The tackle he went into last week was totally stupid and I think he's inclined to do that anyway.
"I remember seeing him playing for Switzerland last year and Liam Brady said 'that's the lad who's coming to [Arsenal] and I saw him getting onto his team-mates that day. And I actually said to Liam, 'Liam, I think he looks like a bit of a brat to be quite honest'. I just don't think his temperament is good."
