Arsenal continued their winning start to the Europa League by winning away at Red Star Belgrade.

But last Saturday, their usual flaws were apparent as Watford fought back to beat them at Vicarage Road.

Afterwards, Watford striker Troy Deeney was quite blunt in regards to fancying his chances against Arsenal players in the heat of battle, commenting, "I have to watch what I say, but it's [having] a bit of cojones, is what I'll say. Whenever I play against Arsenal, I'll go up and think 'let me whack the first one and see who wants it."

We got John's thoughts on those Deeney's remarks to BT Sport as he joined Nathan tonight and he wasn't impressed.

"He only came on as a sub did he? Well I think he should keep his mouth shut and have more respect for the opposition when he plays against them and look at himself," said John in regards to Deeney.

"If he was such a great player and was able to do all the things that he's talking to other people about not doing, he wouldn't be on the bench. He'd be out their playing.

"I think when you win you should treat the opposition with respect and the same when you lose. You don't have to talk about the opposition, especially in a derogatory way. I think it's disrespectful to fellow professionals and he could go out next week and miss three sitters on his own which can happen to anyone. It's very easy to be critical of people especially when you've beaten them. I think he doesn't have to make the comments he's making."

John also gave his take on Ireland drawing Denmark in next month's 2018 FIFA World Cup playoffs, Manchester United's ultra defensive approach at Liverpool and whether passionate antics on the sideline like Jurgen Klopp can have a positive or negative impact on their players:
