Pat Nevin: Man City could get "nothing" fighting on four fronts

Pat Nevin believes Manchester City's fight on four fronts into the second half of this season could well derail their hopes of salvaging their fading Premier League title hopes.

Manuel Pellegrini's side are fourth - six points off the top - after losing to Tottenham, while they face a Champions League tie against Dynamo Kiev, an FA Cup fixture against Chelsea and a Capital One Cup final date against Liverpool.

"I think Man City are actually the most problematic of them all because they've got the classic problem of they're still in everything. They're still battling on four fronts and I've seen it so often before. You battle on four fronts, you get nothing," Pat told Off The Ball.

As for City's poor record against the fellow big sides this season, Pat highlighted that their core of five to six big names have rarely been able to play together this season due to injury.

Meanwhile on Arsenal's win over Leicester, Pat also said he felt the Leicester penalty won by Jamie Vardy was very "harsh" on Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal.

"I think we're really on very dangerous ground when absolutely everyone accepts that's a stonewall penalty," he added.
