Craig Shakespeare coy on Leicester vacancy

Craig Shakespeare is remaining relaxed as he awaits Leicester City's decision over their managerial vacancy.

The coach has taken on the caretaker manager role since the sacking of the Foxes' Premier League winning manager Claudio Ranieri last Thursday.

In Shakespeare's first match in charge, Leicester got their first Premier League win of 2017 by beating Liverpool 3-1.

And today, they came from behind to defeat Hull City 3-1 at the King Power Stadium to push themselves further clear of the relegation zone.

Speaking to BBC Sports after the game, Shakespeare was coy about being the permanent replacement for Ranieri after two wins from two.

"I am comfortable. We have a few days away now. I have been kept informed. I am told we will have a chat at the end of next week," he said.

"We know the last 11 games will have twist and turns. We need to take care of ourselves."

Leicester are now 15th in the Premier League table, five points clear of third from bottom Middlesbrough.

They face Sevilla in a Champions League return leg on Tuesday March 14th (they trail 2-1 on aggregate after the first leg in Spain) before Premier League games against West Ham (away), Stoke (home) and Sunderland (home).
