Tomas O'Se on Dublin's win over Kerry: "If anything, the gap is a little bit wider"

Tomas O'Se feels the gap is a "little bit wider" between Kerry and Dublin on the evidence of the Allianz Football League final.

The former Kerry star joined Off The Ball to give his take on Sunday's match which saw the Dubs lay down a marker with a 2-18 to 0-13 win at Croke Park.

"Out of 18 kick-outs yesterday, we won two of them. The things I'd be talking about, the changes, we either push up and the risk with pushing up on all the players is if Dublin win that ball, you are kind of open at the back," he said.

"Mayo last year at some stage pressed Dublin, they actually gave them the kick-out and they built a wall around the middle of the field and Dublin struggled to get through that wall. I don't think we have the men or the speed that Dublin have of pushing up on it, trying to get back in numbers and trying to get back up the field in numbers.

He continued: "[Dublin] have everything in their armoury at the moment and I did genuinely think that Kerry did have a reasonable opportunity yesterday and I did think that Kerry would improve.

"If anything, the gap is a little bit wider. I won't write off Kerry and you have to take into account that it's April. Kerry will get better as the year goes on and maybe it's no bad thing for Eamonn Fitzmaurice and the lads to get this wake up call right now, instead of getting it again in championship down the road."
