Tomas Quinn and Dara O'Cinneide on how the Dublin v Kerry clash will unfold

Tomas Quinn says one of the changes he's noted about Dublin this year is a willingness to hold onto possession more in periods of the game.

The ex-Dublin star joined Off The Ball to look ahead to Sunday's All-Ireland football semi-final against Kerry as the Dubs seek a second Sam Maguire triumph in succession.

"One of the things they've probably added in the last 18 months or so is when teams get a lot of bodies back, that they're willing to play the ball across the pitch and try and draw them out a little bit rather than just going gung ho as they might have done in the past," he said.

But he does feel there is a happy medium and it is important to still keep the scoreboard ticking over.

"It's something they might look at: 'If we do have Kerry within three or four points, that mightn't be enough, we probably will need to kick on - and not leave ourselves exposed but let's not just get caught with a sucker punch.'"

Ex-Kerry star Dara O'Cinneide also joined the lads to give his perspective on how the Kingdom might be able to overturn the reigning champions, focusing on potential weaknesses that Eamonn Fitzmaurice's side could try to exploit.

"I don't it's a situation where Kerry can just sit back and do what we've always done because we'll get what we've always got in recent years," he said.

"There are very few weaknesses in Dublin's armour but whatever there are there, there's absolutely no doubt that it will be scrutinised to the nth degree by Eamonn Fitzmaurice."

He would also prefer to see Colm Cooper, Paul Geaney and Kieran Donaghy leading the line for Kerry, with James O'Donoghue as a creative force from deep.
