Johne Murphy on why Leinster might not be the "correct move" for Robbie Henshaw

Ex-Munster and Leicester Tigers player Johne Murphy believes Leinster may not be the best option for Robbie Henshaw once he steps away from Connacht at the end of the season.

The versatile former Irish Wolfhounds player joined Off The Ball and ex-Ireland second-row Trevor Hogan on the show tonight and highlighted that the number of centres Leinster already have available could be an issue, if that is the province where the player ultimately ends up moving to.

"I personally don't think that if he were moving, I don't think Leinster is the correct move given the amount of centres they have there. I know Ben Te'o's leaving, [but] Garry Ringrose is obviously coming through, Luke Fitzgerald's stated that he wants to play 12. Obviously there's going to be a player-management issue and player rotation so that he will probably get a lot of game-time. It just comes down to the big European games," he said, adding that the problem will come when every player at inside and outside centre is fully fit.

"If Luke wants to play 12, does Robbie play 13? Where does Garry Ringrose go? It's those development things."

Trevor added that "it's a tough one for the Connacht people to take" as they lose a self-produced player in Henshaw.
