Why Chelsea's style might be suited to PSG challenge

Ex-Chelsea full-back Paddy Mulligan believes Paris Saint-Germain remain favourites for the Champions League tie against his former club, but that the London club's style suits Europe.

Chelsea visit Paris tonight in the first leg and speaking to the Rewind podcast, Paddy believes they have a chance against stronger opposition.

"If you were a betting man, you're probably going PSG over the two games. Chelsea were excellent last Saturday and the best they probably played all season. But can they repeat that now tomorrow night? You'd be having your doubts, especially John Terry went off injured. You'd nearly be fancying PSG to go through over the two legs," he said.

"One of the things that might come against PSG is the fact that they don't have much opposition in France and the way Chelsea play, they might just grind something out and Chelsea are very, very good at that. They can grind something out and they're playing a different type of team, they're playing different types of mentality and teams like to knock the ball around and they're not going to hit you too quickly on the break and they like to take their time building up. "
