98FM's League Of Ireland Podcast 2017 - Episode 27 - FAI Cup Special

What a weekend ahead in the FAI Cup as eight teams will be bidding to reach the semi-finals and get themselves to within one win of an Aviva Stadium final in November.

Episode 27 of 98FM's League of Ireland Podcast has been looking ahead to the four quarter-finals ties with men from all clubs involved.

Here's a taste of what to expect.

00:00:00 / 00:00:00

Jamie Moore previewed Shamrock Rovers vs Leinster Senior League side Bluebell United with Hoop Dave McAllister and Bluebell Manager Andy Noonan.

Last year's beaten finalists Dundalk continue their attempt to right the wrongs of the 2016 final defeat to Cork City as they host the Premier Division's bottom side Drogheda United on Friday night.

Lilywhite's defender Sean Gannon and Drogheda boss Pete Mahon helped us look ahead to that Louth derby.

Dundalk won 6-0 the last time the teams met, they've scored 23 goals and conceded just one in their last six games and come into the game as clear favourites.

Galway United against Limerick is a much harder game to call, but we'll do our best to call it with Galway Manager Shane Keegan and Limerick goalkeeper Brendan Clarke.

While Saturday will see defending cup champions Cork City travel to City Calling Stadium to face the First Division's in-form team Longford Town.

City defender Shane Griffin on life back in Cork and the ups and downs on his time with Reading, and Town boss Neale Fenn look ahead to this one.
