Another Irish fighter has been added to the UFC Dublin card

Following an electric event in the Irish capital last July, sterling performances from Irish fighters across the globe and the meteoric rise of Conor McGregor, MMA is firmly on the agenda in Ireland and attention is now on the forthcoming event which goes on sale to the general public on Friday.

The latest fight added to the fight card see’s Ireland’s Neil Seery take on Guamanian flyweight Jon Delos Reyes.  Fan-favourite Seery comes into the fight on the back of a hard fought unanimous decision loss at the hands of Louis Smolka at UFC 189. Delos Reyes, meanwhile, will be looking to secure a second straight win following his victory over Roldan Sangcha-an at UFC Fight Night:  Edgar vs. Faber, which earned him a Fight of the Night bonus.

Tickets are priced at €50, €75, €100, €125, €150 and €175 and with over eight thousand people having already registered their interest, tickets to this year’s event are one of the hottest properties in town.

A sell-out crowd is expected to fill the 3Arena on the night and with a host of Irish and European athletes featuring on the fight card, the atmosphere promises to be as impressive as it was in Dublin in 2014.

The event will be headlined by a five round bout between Joe “Irish” Duffy and top 15 ranked UFC lightweight Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier. In the co-main event, meanwhile, two of the world’s top ranked heavyweights - Stipe Miocic and Ben Rothwell - will look to stake their claim for a shot at the world title.

UFC Fight Night: Poirier v Duffy will also feature a welterweight bout between Dublin's Cathal Pendred (17-4-1) and Tom Breese (8-0-0, fighting out of Birmingham, England), as well as a lightweight bout between Antrim's Norman Parke and Reza “Mad Dog” Madadi (13-3-0, fighting out of Stockholm, Sweden)

Other Irish fighters in action on the night will be Paddy “The Hooligan” Holohan  (12-1-1) who will meet Louis “Da Last Samurai” Smolka, and Aisling “Ais The Bash” Daly(15-5-0) who will meet Ericka Almeida (7-1-0, fighting out of Sau Paulo, Brazil).
