Are Munster about to lose another second row legend?

Donncha O'Callaghan may be about to follow in Paul O'Connell's footsteps and leave Munster to play abroad.

The Irish Examiner has reported this morning that O'Callaghan is set to leave the province with a year left in his contract to pursue a career abroad before he retires.

The 36 year old will go down in Munster folklore as one of the greatest to wear the red jersey and has played more than 260 times for the Province. O'Callaghan won two Heineken Cups with Munster along with Celtic Leagues and a Celtic Cup. He played 94 times for Ireland and played on two Lions tours, captaining the side in a tour match in 2009.

O'Callaghan made his debut in 1998 and was actively involved in Munster's quest for European glory before finally winning the Heineken Cup in 2006.

His impending departure from Munster leaves another massive gap in the Munster pack after Paul O'Connell left the club at the end of last season for a move to Toulon. An official announcement is expected later this week.
