Are Sevilla the Spanish surprise package in the Champions League?

Five La Liga sides found out their Champions League pairings yesterday afternoon after becoming the first league to have that many teams reach group stages.

Graham Hunter joined Nathan on Off the Ball last night to speak about the draw and the draw of Sevilla stood out to thae Spanish based journalist. Group D is an "absolutely stunning group" according to Hunter as Sevilla are set to face Juventus, Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach.

Unai Emery is in charge of the Europa League champions but Hunter thinks the manager is one of Sevilla's greatest attributes. The Spanish side will "thorny, experienced rivals" to Manchester City as they both battle with Juventus to reach the Champions League knockout stages.

Former Champions League runners up Atletico Madrid are in Group C with Benfica, Galatasaray and Astana.Graham told Nathan that the side have kept last seasons main players including Diego Godin, despite the interest of Manchester City. They have also improved the squad with the additions of players like Jackson Martinez.

When asked about many big transfers from La Liga to the Premier League before Tuesday's deadline, Hunter told Nathan that Real Madrid "still believe" they can sign David De Gea from Manchester United in the coming days.
