Brian O'Driscoll believes the gulf in class between New Zealand's Rugby Championship winning team and the rest of the world is getting bigger and admits he can't see any way to stop them.
The All Blacks were crowned world champions last year after winning the Rugby World Cup in England and just last week strolled to victory in the Rugby Championship, seeing off the challenge of South Africa, Australia and Argentina.
Speaking on tonight's Off The Ball, O'Driscoll examined the success the team have had in recent years and the quality in the squad despite some high profile players retiring.
"It's just amazing to think you can lose of players of the calibre and leadership of Richie McCaw and Dan Carter - then that's not even to mention Ma'a Nonu and Conrad Smith who was a massive cog in that New Zealand wheel over the years - then the quality of players coming through are getting better and better," he said.
"The gulf is getting bigger and bigger."
The team has become one of the iconic All Black teams in the past and just last week former head coach Graham Henry said: "I wondered whether they could step up another level after Richie [McCaw] and his band of merry men who retired together [moved on] but they have."
So is there any way of stopping this team from dominating world rugby for the foreseeable future?
"I don't know," O'Driscoll continued. "It looks as though they are playing a different game to everyone else. It looks easier and in more slow motion.
"They have more time on the ball, their ability to make decisions is quicker. They're a couple of hundredths of a second quicker and that can be the difference in being able to get offloads away.
"You look what happened in the Argentina game. They got to within a point, but you turn away or blink and all of a sudden there's two quick tries scored and the game is over."
