Buffalo Bills overcome the New York Jets in divisional clash

Rex Ryan returned to MetLife Stadium last night to haunt his old team.

The Buffalo Bills, now coached by Ryan defeated the AFC East rivals New York Jets 22-17.

Ryan coached the Jets for six seasons before being fired at the end of last season. He stayed in New York state and the AFC East to join the Jets' rivals in the Buffalo Bills.

Last night was Ryan's first time to return to the Jets since his dismissal as his side pulled off a win to move to 5-4 for the season.

The games crucial moment came in the second quarter as the Jets Devin Smith fumbled the ball on a kick off return. The fumble was picked up by the Bills' safety Duke Williams for a touchdown.

After the game Ryan spoke about his time with the Jets before his departure. "It's kind of like being dumped by some girl that you had the hots for.  Every now and then they call you back. They can't get you back."
