Ray Houghton feels Manchester City still have an outside chance of beating Barcelona to a Champions League quarter-final place.
Speaking to Off The Ball after Luis Suarez scored twice to give Barca a 2-1 win at the Etihad, the former Ireland midfielder said: "[Winning 2-0] gives them an outside chance. They have got Yaya Toure back from suspension and they'll certainly need him for that second leg."
After a first half in which City were given a footballing lesson by Barcelona, Houghton felt the intensity shown by Manuel Pellegrini's side helped them pull one back on the La Liga side.
He felt Fernandinho's introduction in the second half in place of Samir Nasri was a ploy to bring more security defensively as the Sky Blues played in a more direct fashion.
