Could Real Madrid take a punt on Zidane as their next boss?

The last few weeks of bad form have really put Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti in the harshest of spotlights.

But in the event that the club part with the three-time Champions League-winning coach, are they likely to take a risk on youth team boss Zinedine Zidane to replace him?

That was one of the topics Graham Hunter touched on when he talked European football on Off The Ball tonight.

"Suddenly, they're thinking if they get rid of Ancelotti, what would they do if Zidane said he's not ready yet or if they don't think he's ready?" said Graham.

"While they may take a risk if they sack Ancelotti, if you promote Zidane and it's too soon, imagine having to get rid of Zidane in a year's time when you've promoted him too soon because it hasn't worked. Think about that from [Real president] Florentino [Perez's] point of view."

Graham also gave his take on Sevilla's "intense" manager Unai Emery, who has yet to endear himself with the club's fans despite decent positions in the table and in Europe.
