Ireland forwards coach Simon Easterby has refuted the claims of Welsh defence coach Shaun Edwards that Ireland play "dangerous" rugby.
Edwards says Ireland have popularised the use of the choke tackle in the sport and that it may lead to increased numbers of concussions.
But Easterby says Ireland are operating within the laws of the game.
"As long as we're disciplined and play within the law, then that's all we can ask of the players and that's what we'll coach time and time again," he said.
Former Ireland head coach Eddie O'Sullivan and ex-Leinster second-row Trevor Hogan also felt Edwards was off the mark with his comments when they spoke to Off The Ball on Monday night.
