Eva Carneiro has reportedly parted company with Chelsea, who are now facing an expensive legal battle.
The club's former first team doctor was ordered to return to work last Friday after a touchline row with Jose Mourinho during their Premier League clash with Swansea City on August 8th.
Carneiro was banned from the bench and the team hotel by Mourinho as part of her punishment for rushing out to treat Eden Hazard during the closing stages of the match when Chelsea were chasing a winner.
Chelsea have refused to deny reports that Carneiro has left her position.
Football Association board member Heather Rabbatts has expressed her "sadness and anger" over the reports.
