Donegal are through to the first round proper of the Ulster Championship after beating Tyrone by three points today in Ballybofey.
Both sides were reduced to 14 men in the second half as Neil Gallagher and Sean Cavanagh were sent off. However Donegal boss Rory Gallagher says the result was the right one:
1-13 to 1-10 is how it ended at MacCumhail Park.
Donegal also got the better of Tyrone in the minor match - running out 1-11 to 8 points winners in the first round of the Ulster Championship.
In Connacht, Galway have set up a provincial semi-final meeting with Mayo after beating Leitrim today.
Kevin Walsh's side kept Leitrim to just two second half points in Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada to run out 1-13 to 8 points winners.
The first game in Carrick-on-Shannon ended with Mayo beating Galway 1-12 to 13 points in the final of the Connacht Junior Championship.
Meanwhile, Westmeath had seven points to spare against Louth in the Leinster Football Championship.
The final score in Drogheda was 3-14 to 16 points, and it's Wexford who await Westmeath in the Leinster quarter-finals.
