Five spectacular goals from the weekend's football that you might have missed

The congested pre-season friendly fixture calendar continued apace over the weekend, and there were plenty of goals scored as the great and good of football took their brands overseas for as much as exposure as they can squeeze in before the season starts.

Borussia Dortmund met Champions League finalists Juventus over the weekend, and Marco Reus ran the length of the pitch to score a wonderful goal and increase his side's advantage.

Manchester United also took on Barcelona in San Francisco, and while not all the stars were on show, Barça youngster Rafinha slotted home a beautifully controlled volley that proved to be a mere consolation on the way to a 3-1 loss against Louis Van Gaal's men.

One of the best finishes of the weekend came in a match that did mean something, as Anderlecht's Youri Tielemans, a Chelsea target slammed home this last minute winner against Waasland-Beveren. This spectacular effort gave his side the three points on the opening day of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, and would have put the 18-year-old's name on the radars of plenty of other clubs too.

Ahead of the start of the Serie A season, there was a Derby della Madonnina in China where the two Milan clubs came head to head, and Philippe Mexes marked the occasion by scoring this fantastic volley from a set piece.

However, perhaps the goal of the weekend came from Dinamo Zagreb player Armin Hodžić, whose jaw-dropping overhead kick somehow found its way into the far corner of the net, leaving the 'keeper standing rooted to the spot. It was enough to make some of his team-mates stare in complete disbelief at what they'd seen.

Zagreb won the match 5-1, with Hodžić scoring a hat-trick, so he had a pretty good day.

And finally, as a bonus, Thibaut Courtois proved over the weekend that Joe Hart wasn't the only goalkeeper in the Premier League that knows how to take a penalty.
