GALLERY: Golden State Warriors overcome Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1

Kevin Durant hit 38 points as the Golden State Warriors took Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers by 113-91.

He accounted for 23 of those points before half-time, as he became only the fourth NBA player to score at least 25 points in his first six NBA Finals games.

Meanwhile, Steph Curry contributed 28 points as the Warriors sank 11 dunks in the first half.

Both sides have clashed in the NBA decider over the last two seasons.

In last year's final, the Cavs rallied from 3-1 down, to stage the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history to secure the crown. The Warriors edged out the tie the previous year.

Before looking to Game 2 coming up on Monday, here's a look at some of the best images from last night's encounter.
