Shane Walsh has been ruled out of Galways provincial championship semi final with Mayo after a breaking his hand in a car accident.
The Kilkerrin/Clonberne is likely to be out for a number of weeks as the championship is about to reach full swing.
Walsh played a huge role in Galway reaching the All-Ireland quarter-finals last year through the back door where they were beaten by eventual winners, Kerry.
