"I think there are serious question marks over selection and strategy" - George Hook

Ireland are through to the quarter finals of the Rugby World Cup after defeating Italy yesterday in London's Olympic Stadium.

The Right Hook's George Hook joined Chris and Ivan on Newstalk Breakfast this morning to discuss the 16-9 win and what it means for Ireland's future in the tournament.

Hook told Newstalk Breakfast that Ireland are using an "outdated game plan" in the tournament that sees the team play with a lack of width. He call Joe Schmidt's side the "most predictable team in this championship".

Schmidt has issues ahead of the France game next week, with Hook stating "he doesnt know what his line up is". Ireland have failed to partner Rob Henshaw and Jared Payne in the centre because of injuries to both players in the opening three games. Luke Fitzgerald, Darren Cave and Keith Earls have all impressed in the centre so far in the tournament.

You can listen to George's full interview with Chris and Ivan below, and hear more of his thoughts on the game on The Right Hook from 4.30pm today.
