Briton Dan Evans scored the upset of the round at the Australian Open as he dispatched of world number seven Marin Cilic to reach the third round of the tournament.
The former US Open champion was beaten in four sets 3-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-3 as Evans booked his place in the next round of the competition for a fifth time.
After his match, he was asked how he had gotten the player of yet another player ranked higher than he was.
"I'm not quite sure actually," he admitted. "I don't really know. I made a lot of balls and I frustrated him a lot. He didn't seem to be able to hit through me. Then I just went forward when I could."

Evans used a variation of his sliced backhand as well as a topspin in both his forehand and backhand returns. The 26-year-old said that the use of multiple different shots helped him stifle his opponent.
"That's a big part of my game, especially when I was playing that down the line. Against him I thought that worked a lot because he's a big guy and he would have to bend a lot. Getting low and trying to move isn't his biggest strength.
"[The match] was a long one. I really had to fight my way through, I thought he started really well. I had to hang in the match and come through. To come through was really pleasing. I'm just dying to go again on Friday."
The Birmingham native said that despite good recent results, including his earlier victory over Dominic Thiem, he is not getting carried away with himself.
"It's a year round points system. One or two wins is great but I've got to keep focused and not get ahead of myself."
