Ireland rise 11 places in the FIFA World Rankings

Ireland's qualification for Euro 2016 has seen Martin O'Neill's side rise 11 places in the recent FIFA World Rankings.

The play off win over Bosnia and Herzegovina has seen the side move up to 31st place. It is a huge jump for the side that were 67th earlier this year in February.

Northern Ireland remain ahead of Ireland in the Rankings and currently lie in 30th place. England and Wales remain in the top 20, in 9th and 17th place respectively.

Ireland's task for Euro 2016 has been put into context. They are currently the 20th best team of the 24 that have qualified for France next summer. Only Poland, Sweden, Iceland and Albania lie below Ireland in the rankings.

Belgium remain top of the rankings, with Argentina, Spain, World Champions Germany and Chile completing the top five.
