Ireland's heroics at the Euros haven't given them much of a boost FIFA's latest rankings

FIFA have once again released their all-powerful, ever-correct rankings, and it seems that Ireland's performance at the Euros hasn't had a huge impact.

The Boys in Green have risen just two places after a campaign in which they beat Italy and looked on the verge of pulling off a shock against France, before the tiredness kicked in and saw the team running on empty in the second half.

Martin O'Neill's side are now ranked 31st in the world, sitting behind Ukraine, who had a disastrous tournament and crashed out at the group stages losing all their games, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, who Ireland beat to make it to the finals in France.

Other big movers on the rankings are Iceland, who have jumped 12 places after their heroics, and Wales, who are up 15 spots since the last rankings were issued.

On the other end of the scale, Austria's poor results saw them slip 11 spots, Russia have dropped nine places to 38th and Netherlands are down 12 places to 26th, after they failed to make it to France.

Argentina are still top of the pile in the wake of their defeat to Chile in the Copa America Centenario final, while Belgium sit in second despite being well-beaten by Wales, and Hal-Robson Kanu's Cruyff turn in the quarter-final.

In good news for Gareth Bale & Co. they have risen to 11th, two places above England in the rankings after Roy Hodgson's side were beaten by Iceland in one of the tournament's most memorable games

Tournament winners Portugal have only moved up two places in the rankings, and are now rated as the sixth best team in the world.
