After yesterday's revelations that the FAI received a lump sum from FIFA after the Thierry Henry incident in November 2009, Keith Andrews spoke to Ger to give his thoughts on the situation.
Andrews, was part of the Irish side that played in Paris in the World Cup play off which finished 1-1 after extra time. William Gallas scored the equaliser for France which sent them to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
"Disbelief and disgust" was Andrews' reaction to the news when it was revealed. The midfielder said "the one comfort" the fans and team could have from that incident was the dignity shown which he feels has now been lost.
Andrews, along with many others thinks its crucial to find out where the €5million was allocated. "It wasn't a loan. It was hush money" according to Andrews to try and make sure the FAI kept quiet after the incident.
Despite what has happened in the last 24 hours, Andrews was unwilling to say if he felt FAI Chief Executive John Delaney should resign due to the incident.
