John Giles: Juventus won't be scared of Barcelona

I think Juventus will have a go at Barcelona like they did in the two matches against Real Madrid.

I think things in Italy have changed from the old days when they were very, very defensive and hit teams on the break.

Most people were very impressed with Juventus in the two matches. They actually went to Madrid and had a go at them.

I know they were defending near the end when they had the goal but they weren't scared of them - and I don't think they will be scared of Barcelona.

Obviously, Messi, Neymar and Suarez are terrific players, but I think Juventus might be able to do a bit more in midfield.

I think Barcelona miss Xavi from a few years ago. He could actually dictate the game, he could control the pace of the game.

They don't have anybody there, doing that now and if you look at the matches that they played against Bayern Munich, they did concede chances and in fact, I think Bayern Munich were on top of them in Barcelona before Messi came in with his terrific goals. So I wouldn't write Juventus off by any means.

I think the old (under Guardiola) and new Barcelona are great. I enjoyed watching both of them because Xavi and Iniesta when they were playing were terrific and you still have Messi playing for them now. But now they have added to the attack with Suarez and Neymar, so that's given them a plus.

Losing Xavi in the middle of the field is a bit of a minus. I think they were better balanced with Xavi in the middle of the field.
