Jose Mourinho reportedly under increasing pressure with one game to save his job

Reports suggest that after another defeat on the weekend, this time to West Ham, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is losing patience with Jose Mourinho, and may be considering sending him on his way.

The Chelsea manager lead his team to their fifth defeat of the season on Saturday, and a number of reports have emerged which suggest that Mourinho will be given up to two more games to save his job: the Capital One Cup clash against Stoke and the game against Liverpool.

Mourinho has, in recent weeks, become increasingly frustrated with results, blaming referees and daring the club to sack him, publicly calling out his medical staff (which eventually lead Dr. Eva Carneiro to leave the club) as well as dropping the club's player of the year during last season's title winning run, Eden Hazard, which lead to reports that he was seeking a move away from Chelsea.

According to a number of the sports back pages today, Mourinho's future could well hinge on the Liverpool game against Jurgen Klopp's side, as he seems unable to arrest their slide down the league table, where they now sit in 15th position.

Of particular concern is their defensive form, which has seen them concede 19 goals already this season, whereas last season they only conceded 32 in total.

Should Abramovich decide that he wants to part company with Mourinho again, interested parties include two former bosses who have been in charge at the club before: Guus Hiddink and Carlo Acnelotti.

However, according to Miguel Delaney, the Russian owner has been told to keep confidence with The Special One for a little while longer.
