Kerry defence concerns Tomas O'Se

As Kerry get ready to take on Tipperary in the Munster championship, ex-Kingdom star Tomas O'Se says he has only one concern - a defence which shipped 9-90 during the Allianz Football League.

The five-time All-Ireland winner joined us on Off The Ball ahead of another packed weekend of action, saying: "The one area I'd have a concern for is the high score rate that we conceded during the league. When you look at the fact that we're starting three defenders that started the All-Ireland last year. It is an area which Kerry would have focused on in between the league and the championship. They need to tighten up, they need to cut down the frees and scores from open play."

O'Se also believes that Colm 'Gooch' Cooper will take time to get back to his best as the 32-year-old continues his comeback from a cruciate ligament injury.

Looking at the comparisons between his former Kerry team-mate Tadhg Kennelly's Gaelic football comeback after time spent Down Under and the challenge faced by Tommy Walsh, he said: "Tadhg was coming back every Christmas from Australia and he was playing North Kerry championship with Listowel. That mightn't sound like a big deal but he was getting ready for that outside in Australia when he was coming back. Tommy took a complete break for six years and didn't play football hardly at all. I think Tommy's put a bit of pressure on his own shoulders trying to be that player that he was in 2009 and it's not just going to happen. The big thing with Tommy Walsh, is that we have to be patient with him."
